I think I recall some whisperings that there were potential plans for a path with Lord Sutton in the future. I was just curious if anyone had any personal hopes/ideas for this story, should it ever come to fruition. I know I can't be the only Lord Sutton fan here. ;)
I, too, see Lord Sutton as a potential Mr. Darcy. I would like to see him as a suitor/husband without hurting Mr. Graham's feelings.
I don't know if either of you have read the recent FAQ published by the lovely ladies behind Regency Love, but it did allude to a possible future involving Lord Sutton.
Here was the original quote from that post.
"Oh, I hope Mr Graham doesn’t find out about this conversation! Unfortunately, you won’t be able to romance Lord Sutton, but, well…
"There is something featuring Lord Sutton in the works. All will be revealed when the time comes (i.e. when we’ve done enough work on it and have a viable timeline in place). It’s a little different from what we’ve done before, and if it’s to go ahead, it will involve a Kickstarter/crowdfunding campaign."
With this in mind, I wonder if there will be responses during your courtship of Mr Graham that take the story in a slightly different direction. Perhaps you still marry him, but he meets an untimely, yet hereoic demise at war. Lord Sutton, the perfect gentleman, says that he promsied his friend that he would always take care of you and your family. Later, he confesses that he always has (or has never stopped) loving you, etc. etc.
I confess, when I first played through the Mr Graham story, I thought he was supposed to be a sort of Mr Wickham. After the dance, which features the intense cut scene where Lord Sutton is caught staring at you intently, I thought it was going to be revealed that Mr Graham, like Mr Wickham, was a charming cad with pleasing manners but a deceitful heart. Until the very end, I did wonder if the story was going to take a different direction, Mr Graham was going to be exposed, and I would end up with Lord Sutton.
I suppose I thought this because Mr Graham seemed a little, well, too good to be true. Unlike Mr Ashcroft or Mr Curtis, he has no failings, other than perhaps being a little oblivious. I still sometimes wonder if we have heard the whole story about Mr Graham. All the epilogues indicate that he is a fair, attentive, and loving husband. But sometimes I think of how he watches Miss Perigwen, describes her, and interacts with Lord Sutton and I'm not so sure.
I read the new FAQ. I am disappointed we won't be able to romance Lord Sutton but hope we can still marry him. Mr.Graham seems perfect, although quite boyish. I thought he would be a Mr. Wickam as well. I think there is more to Mr. Graham that we have not seen.
I really hope that we can romane Sutton, even though the wording of the answer seems to indicate otherwise. I just wish that whatever that new content entails we can have some more cutting banter between the MC and Lord Sutton. That was the most amusing thing about their relationhip to me, along with the slightly amusing notion that in the ending the MC, Graham and Sutton have a sort of platonic polyamorous relationship.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed something...different...in their relationship! I still can't put my finger on it, either.
I need to be able to romance Mr. Sutton!!!!
I would totally pay for a threesome relationship between Graham, Sutton and the MC. MC and Sutton both love/care about Graham, Graham and Sutton both love the MC, so why can't the MC love both as well?
How do u get lord Sutton? I just started playing the game and I could use some help. 😅
He appears in Mr Grahams story which you have to buy separately. Judging by the artwork I'd say developers love him the most) So dissapointed that he doesn't have his own route.
What do you think?
